Children's horsemanship & riding lessons

HorseHand riding lessons are individually tailored and designed to assist you in achieving your goals with a horse. We develop our riders from the inside out, building a strong foundation of confidence, 'feel', leadership, emotional intelligence, and physical fitness. These skills are essential for getting the best out of your horse.

At HorseHand we will help you reach a level of communication with your horse that you have only dreamed of, by developing an effective soft communication system using our insightful Sovereign Horsemanship approach. We provide riding and horsemanship lessons on our "School Master" horses - who have a minimum of 6 years' connection training, so they are patient and understanding - and will also cater for individuals who would prefer to use their own horse.

Riding lessons at HorseHand cater for ages from 2½ years and over. Our Pat and Play sessions are a great way to start for 5 years and under. We encourage our students to purchase lessons in groups of 10 to build their confidence and skill around horses.

Lessons are designed to be fun for rider and horse, focusing on the essential skills mentioned above while developing the power of focus. Not only are these skills very important for getting the best out of your horse, they are skills that can be used in everyday life.
